We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint here at Alben. We’ve taken a number of steps to move forward greener in the future including:
- Introducing electric machines to our assets and will continue to replace all petrol kit with electric items
- Reducing the use of Glyphosate and introducing new chemicals and using power sweepers more frequently
- Our digital dashboard system for job planning and reporting has reduced paper usage by up to 85%
- We work with customers to establish, maintain and protect wildlife areas
- Whenever possible we employ staff and apprentices in the geographical areas in which we work
- Investing in a Bio-Chomper to recycle brash into compost to use on sites across the north west
- The team will continue to look for new and innovative ways to reduce, reuse and recycle and we will keep you posted with new initiatives and projects.
